SHORT BIOGRAPY OF PROF. DR. BOLA SIMEON-FAYOMI
Dr. Simeon-Fayomi Bolanle Clara is an Associate Professor of 22 years teaching experience in the Department of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She is a scholar of the First Data Western Union of Association of African Universities and the African American Institute (AAU/IAA) USA and Fellowship Awardee 2010 of the Carnegie Corporation of New York/ Linkages, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She was awarded the prestigious Bavarian Government Fellowship of the Siebold-Collegium-Institute for Advanced Studies (SCIAS) of the Julius Maximilian University of Wurzburg (JMU) in 2016 and nominated as the Nigerian Ambassador of JMU in 2019. She is an executive member, Nigerian National Council for Adult Education (NNCAE) for six years and currently the serving national treasurer. She has promoted cooperation, international and interdisciplinary exchange, dialogues between Nigerian Universities and University of Wurzburg, University of Education, Freiburg and University of Padua, Italy.
Simeon-Fayomi Bolanle Clara (PhD) is a full professor of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She is a leading expert in the field of adult education, with a particular focus on teaching methods, young adult entrepreneurship education, indigenous studies/education and art-based teaching methods. Prof Simeon-Fayomi has extensive research experience in adult education, teaching, and learning. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at conferences around the world.

She has served as a visiting professor at the University of Padua, Italy for the past 13 years. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Florence, Italy; the University of Education, Freiburg and Helmut Schmidt Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr, Hamburg and the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Germany.
Prof. Simeon-Fayomi is an engaging teacher who uses music, games, dances, and other communication techniques in her classrooms to promote dialogues and conversations. She is a strong advocate for the performance and oral rendition of the tradition of storytelling from all lands and nations in formal and non-formal settings for communication, engagement, participation, enlightenment, and development of entrepreneurship development, global citizenship, gender issues, and soft skills using creative arts methods.
Prof. Simeon-Fayomi is a professional storyteller/session leader and trainer to the International Council of Adult Education (ICAE), several NGOs in Serbia, Lebanon, and Dubai, and she has also served as a national executive member for 8 years of the Nigerian National Council of Adult Education (NNCAE).
Prof. Simeon-Fayomi is a highly respected and accomplished scholar who has made significant contributions to the field of adult education and internationalization of Higher Education in Nigeria. She is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and is committed to using her expertise to help her students achieve their full potential.
